The Delivery Partner Manager is an advisor and operating partner to Delivery Service Partners (DSPs). Amazon’s team of Delivery Partner Managers assist and guide DSP business owners as they build and grow successful last mile package delivery businesses within Amazon Logistics (AMZL). The role involves helping to kick start new businesses and maintaining high standards of excellence. They will advise on business improvements and work alongside Regional On The Road (OTR) managers on responsibilities related to the transition of planning and DSP capability.
The Delivery Partner Managers identify and execute value-creation opportunities, managing the DSP relationship throughout the business lifecycle, focusing on sentiment, safety, compliance, performance, and capacity. They work closely with DSPs to solve challenges, influence planning and strategy, and identify obstacles, ensuring effective decision-making and quality delivery.
They oversee a portfolio of owners at various stages, setting strategy, driving accountability, and tracking performance metrics. Collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Partner Relations, Value Added Services, Legal, Fleet, and Network Health is essential. They support owners by removing obstacles and enhancing financial, operational, and safety practices, and facilitate enforcement policies and feedback channels with relevant teams.
The role requires flexibility, including travel between sites and working hours that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure safety compliance in partnership with OTR Safety and Regional Managers.
2. Guide business scaling and operational issue management.
3. Support onboarding and launch of new DSPs.
4. Coach and upskill DSPs using AMZL tools.
5. Identify opportunities for customer metric improvements.
6. Promote consistent application of Last Mile processes and challenge impacting UTR processes.
7. Coach DSPs for compliance, safety, and performance metrics.
8. Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement operational improvements.
9. Develop and maintain positive relationships with DSP partners.
10. Enhance communication and represent DSP interests within Amazon.
11. Improve driver standards to uphold brand image.
12. Work with DSPs on ramp plans and pipeline goals to meet peak demands.
Basic Qualifications
* A degree.
* Experience in Operations, Last Mile, account or relationship management, small business logistics, or retail/vendor management.
* Experience working with regional or national third-party resources.
* Experience managing a contingent workforce during peak seasons.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma process improvements.
* Project planning experience in ambiguous environments.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Enjoys data analysis and providing data-driven solutions.
* Proven track record of helping teams achieve goals.
