A well-established engineering and company in the Wakefield area is seeking a skilled Fabricator to join its workshop team. This role involves manufacturing bespoke frames, fabricated assemblies, and precision components while maintaining excellent standards of quality, safety, and workmanship.
Working Hours of a Fabricator
* Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
* Friday: 08:00 – 15:15
* 37.5 hours per week
Pay & Benefits
* £16.50 – £18.00 per hour (depending on experience)
* Overtime paid at time and a half for hours worked over 37.5 per week
Key Responsibilities of a Fabricator
1. Read and interpret engineering drawings to manufacture bespoke fabricated parts and machine frames
2. Produce components to specified tolerances and surface finish requirements
3. Fabricate and weld a variety of materials, including stainless steel, to a high standard
4. Operate MIG and TIG welding equipment safely and efficiently
5. Use workshop machinery such as press brakes and guillotines where required
6. Upload and review drawings through the operator terminal where necessary
7. Ensure production schedules and deadlines are achieved
