Our team takes pride in delivering high‑quality care, and we’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to maintaining a space where residents feel valued and supported.

The Role:

The Handyperson plays a key part in keeping our home running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for day‑to‑day maintenance, minor repairs, and ensuring the building and grounds remain safe, tidy, and well‑presented. Your work helps create a positive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carry out general maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, joinery, painting, and minor electrical work.

3. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and management.
4. Support with setting up rooms, moving furniture, and assisting with small refurbishment projects.
5. Maintain external areas such as pathways, gardens, and car parks to ensure they are safe and presentable.
6. Liaise with external contractors when specialist work is required.
7. Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks, checks, and repairs.
8. Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and care home regulations.

About You:

9. Practical experience in maintenance, repairs, or a similar role.
10. Confident with basic DIY skills and comfortable using a range of tools.
11. A good understanding of health and safety requirements.
12. Able to prioritise tasks and work independently.
13. Friendly, approachable, and patient, especially when interacting with residents.
14. Reliable, organised, and committed to maintaining high standards.
15. Willing to be part of a supportive, resident‑focused team.
