Due to continued growth in the last 2 years, we are looking for a full-time SME portfolio manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will be positive, organized, and detail-oriented, managing their time effectively with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong IT skills are required; all in-house systems training will be provided.
Our client base includes SMEs such as manufacturers, professional service firms, IT developers, property investors and developers, hospitality businesses, and not-for-profit entities. You will interact directly with clients face-to-face, over the phone/video meetings, and via email, so excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage own portfolio, including staff planning, WIP management, and billing
* Build and develop client relationships
* Display strong commercial awareness in fee development
* Prepare files for partner review to a high standard
* Stay updated on relevant legislation and compliance standards
* Raise high-quality business correspondence
* Serve as the main contact for compliance queries
* Quote and estimate fees within authority levels
* Meet clients to pitch and tender for new work, preparing related documents
* Participate in business development and networking events
* Utilize cloud-based accounting techniques and systems
* Delegate work effectively and mentor team members
* Provide feedback on work quality and performance
* Manage team operations and monitor work standards
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Confident, articulate, and effective communicator at all levels
* Fully qualified ACA/ACCA
* Up-to-date knowledge of corporate and personal taxes
* Proactive approach to client development
