Job Title: People & Ways of Working Lead - Modernisation Division: Modernisation Reports To: Head of Modernisation/Chief People Officer & Head of ESG Key Relationships: Culture & People; COO; Modernisation Office; Delivery Leads; IT; Change Management; Business Readiness Ways of Working (WoW) is one of the main enabler workstreams of Beazley’s Modernisation programme. This workstream will support our people to adapt to a changing company, improve how our people operate at Beazley, how they are trained and upskilled and how to prepare the company for further strategic changes. The position of People & Ways of Working Lead at Beazley represents a crucial role within the company's Modernisation program. Reporting into the Head of Modernisation with a dotted line into our Chief People Officer & Head of ESG, the successful candidate will assume an important position responsible for spearheading the implementation of WoW strategies to empower our colleagues to navigate the evolving organisational landscape effectively. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including senior business leaders. Responsibilities: Operating at a strategic level, the People & Ways of Working Lead will drive and own the execution of the Modernisation’s people agenda to support large scale change. This includes owning and assigning key deliverables, tracking their completion within specified timeframes, and coordinating activities across functions to ensure successful execution. Change adoption will be a core focus of this role, working closely with change enabling teams like Business Readiness, L&D, and our Group Change function, ensuring our new processes are embedded effectively. The People & Ways of Working Lead will provide expert guidance to program leadership and stakeholders on integrating people considerations into all phases of initiative mobilisation, planning, and implementation. This entails standardising and structuring our ways of understanding change through Change Impact Assessments, developing and executing change action plans, and collaborating with internal target teams to outline necessary people changes, such as skills development, training, and behavioral adjustments. Program delivery enhancements like accountability frameworks and upskilling, as well as transition planning will fall under our WoW roadmap. The People & Ways of Working Lead will support the roadmap and implementation of program initiatives into business functions, including IT Value Streams. Measurable success criteria for the transition process will be defined and tracked to ensure seamless integration. The People & Ways of Working Lead will support the designing of the company’s talent target state and work cross functionally to conduct a gap analysis to design and execute targeted upskilling programmes. In order to allow for successful adoption of the modernisation initiatives, organisational design activities might have to be considered and supported by this role in close collaboration with Culture & People. Tracking and mapping efficiencies against the headcount plan forms part of this exciting role. They will possess exceptional relationship-building skills, strategic acumen, and a track record of targeted delivery and effectively managing change at a senior level. The ability to influence without authority, prioritise effectively, and showcase a people-first mindset will be crucial for success in this role. Candidates will have solid experience within WoW & people & change planning/org re-design, from any industry.
