About us Nestled on Greenwich Peninsula, attached to the O2, Intercontinental London O2 embraces a captivating backdrop of the River Thames and Canary Wharf. Our five-star hotel includes 453 bedrooms, a diverse dining selection, spa facilities, state of the art conference and meeting rooms including the UK largest pillar-free ballroom. A bit about what you will do M&E Operations Coordinators are an integral part of our M&E team. They offer support by maintaining appropriate documentation, adhering to brand standards and managing general departmental administration. Prepare rotas, timesheets and manage holidays, considering the need for agency staff due to the size of the events. Ensure sickness and absenteeism is recorded and documented. Manage departmental recruitment, working closely with the Talent & Culture department to ensure succession planning and maintain a low vacancy rate. Complete all department orders, ensure equipment is ordered promptly before events, and all purchases are recorded and costed. Liaise with suppliers regarding queries, challenges and new product research. Ensure the M&E team completes the required training, including Health and Safety, documentation is completed and filed accordingly. More about you Strong communication skills and a good standard of written and spoken English. You value being part of a team and supporting your colleagues. A smart and professional appearance. Most of all, you will have an approachable, positive, and proactive manner. Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word required. Experience in a similar role within a 5-star hotel is a significant advantage. Basic knowledge of Scala signage systems a plus.
