Care managers play a pivotal role in providing leadership, ensuring high standards of care, and managing the dedicated care teams across Lilian Faithfull homes in Cheltenham and Stroud. Apply Online Key Care Manager Responsibilities Responsibilities The role of a care manager includes a wide variety of responsibilities to ensure our residents’ comfort and safety, as well as supporting teams to grow and deliver excellent care. Some key duties include (but are not limited to): Overseeing and managing the care team to ensure residents receive high-quality, person-centred care. Developing, implementing, and monitoring care plans to meet residents’ individual needs. Leading, mentoring, and supporting team members to maintain high morale and professional development. Ensuring compliance with CQC (Care Quality Commission) regulations and internal Lilian Faithfull Care policies. Managing administrative duties, including staffing rotas, performance reviews, and care documentation. Engaging with residents’ families and external health professionals to ensure holistic care. Driving improvements in care standards and operational efficiency within the home. Handling safeguarding concerns and ensuring the safety and dignity of all residents. Contributing to the continuous development and enhancement of the home’s care services. Essential Required Skills & Qualifications Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards it). Previous experience in a senior care role, ideally within a care home setting. Strong knowledge of CQC compliance and regulations. Experience in leading and mentoring a care team. Excellent communication and organisational skills. A compassionate and resident-focused approach. Ideal A degree in Health and Social Care or a related field. Experience in care home management or a similar leadership role. Additional training in safeguarding, dementia care, or medication management. Knowledge of payroll, budgeting, or home operations management. A valid driver’s licence (for community-based roles).
