Job Title: Assembly Technician (Mechanical)
Location: Cowes, Isle of Wight
Salary: Up to £40,974 depending on skills & experience
Responsibilities
* Assembly, repair and modification tasks on mechanical components, subassemblies, and systems
* Repair and modify current and legacy products
* Provide technical support to engineers working in design and development environments
* Using business systems and processes to record and evidence compliance
* Assisting and supporting development of apprentices and other personnel
Your skills and experiences
* Detailed understanding of an assembly discipline such as detailed fitting, fabrication, and gearbox assembly
* Ability to interpret and work to tolerances from engineering drawings
* Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of Health and Safety principles
* Awareness and working understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001
* Mechanical apprentice trained/time served
* Adherence to Lean Principles with ability to identify and initiate continuous improvement
* Experience with Forklift truck, OHGC, MEWP or Working at height

The Assembly (Mechanical) Team
As Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will be part of ever-expanding team, working alongside experienced and highly skilled wiring technicians as well as more recent additions to the team and Apprentices.
