This welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Portsmouth is seeking a talented Art Teacher to join their Creative Arts faculty from September. The successful candidate will teach across KS3 and KS4, and there may be the opportunity to teach A-Level for the right applicant.
The department enjoys a reputation for innovation and high student engagement, regularly contributing to whole-school exhibitions, local arts events, and interdisciplinary projects. The school has excellent studio facilities, including kiln access, a darkroom, and a digital editing suite.
We are looking for someone with a strong artistic background, who can offer both traditional and digital specialisms, and who is passionate about building artistic confidence and individual expression among students.
Experience and Qualifications
• Degree in Fine Art, Design or similar with QTS
• Able to teach Art to KS3 and KS4; KS5 experience desirable
• Experience in multiple media, including drawing, sculpture, or photography
• Strong classroom presence and collaborative attitude
• Legal right to work in the UK
