Overview
Job Summary: An exciting opportunity/vacancy has become available for a Medical Staffing Coordinator to lead in the management of Paediatrics & NNU Resident & Consultant Doctor Rotas at Kingston Hospital. The post holder will also manage the approval and collation of all aspects of doctors' leave, timesheets and sickness in line with the processes in place. The successful candidate will be expected to provide an efficient and effective service in a pressured environment. The post holder will work closely with the Trust's Senior Management, Medical HR and other stakeholders for developing and maintaining the Rotas on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
* Lead in the management of Paediatrics & NNU Resident & Consultant Doctor Rotas at Kingston Hospital.
* Manage approval and collation of doctors’ leave, timesheets and sickness in line with trust processes.
* Provide an efficient and effective service in a pressured environment.
* Collaborate with the Trust’s Senior Management, Medical HR and other stakeholders to develop and maintain rotas daily.
Qualifications & Skills
* Essential: GCSEs.
* Desirable: Bachelor’s Degree.
* Essential: Office/administration experience (equivalent of band 3 or above).
* Desirable: Experience using electronic rostering applications.
* Desirable: Experience of working in the NHS.
* Essential: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Essential: Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work to deadlines; excellent organisational skills; able to work in a team and self-directed.
* Knowledge: MS Office suite or equivalent; knowledge of Healthroster or Allocate or similar tools. Desirable: understanding of medical staffing requirements and guidance.
