An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse to join the Fife Wide School Nursing Service on a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
You will work across Fife within a dynamic team of School Nurses, Community Staff Nurses, Nursery Nurses, and Healthcare Support Workers in various settings including health centres and schools.
If you are committed to a person-centred care approach to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for children, young people, and families in Fife, we welcome your application.
Experience in supporting children, young people, and their families, along with an awareness of the contemporary school nursing service, would be advantageous but is not essential.
Existing permanent employees must discuss this opportunity with their substantive line manager first. The secondment policy can be found here: Hub.
External applicants with continuous NHS service must also have a secondment agreement from their current board to apply for this post.
For informal enquiries, please contact Amanda Urquhart, School Nurse Team Leader, at 07740589702.
NHS Fife is legally obliged to ensure all employees are entitled to work in the UK. If you are not a UK or Irish national, you must confirm your right to work in your application.
NHS Scotland is committed to equality and diversity, aiming for a workforce that is truly representative and where each employee feels respected and able to give their best. We welcome applications from all sections of society.
Due to legislative changes effective from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check. If classified as a "regulated role," appointment will be subject to joining the PVG Scheme. Any changes to requirements will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager or Recruitment Team. For more details, visit: Disclosure Scotland Changes.
We offer flexible working, family-friendly policies, and support for disabled candidates, including reasonable adjustments during recruitment.
