The L2 Network Engineer will cover management, maintenance and support of network infrastructure, perimeter security systems, and network management platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Remote and onsite support (where required) of network and security infrastructure (LAN / WAN / WLAN / Firewalls / Application/VPN, Delivery Controllers etc.)
* Troubleshooting complex network issues, identifying network bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to ensure optimal network performance
* Optimizing network infrastructure to ensure maximum performance and scalability.
* Maintaining accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and inventory records
* Preparing regular reports on network performance, availability, and security
* Day‑to‑day patching, maintenance and operation of the above in secure environments
* Continual improvement of the systems based on changing demands
* Liaising with various departments within the business
* Coordinating with 3rd party suppliers and partners to support, maintain and implement these systems

Skills & Experience
Essential
* Experience of enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN management
* Experience of Cisco, HPE, Aruba, Meraki and/or Juniper switching/wireless
* Experience of firewall technologies, particularly Fortinet, Cisco, Meraki and/or Palo Alto
* Experience of network monitoring, troubleshooting and management tools
* CCNA certification
Desirable
* VMware NSX experience
* Fortinet certification
* Palo Alto certification

* Must have the right to live and work in the UK.
* Access to own transport is essential due to the location.
* Must meet Security Clearance vetting requirements; any offer is conditional upon successful SC and NPPV3 vetting.
