We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Science for a secondary school on the Wirral. This is a long-term position, initially for 12 months, with the potential to be a permanent role for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be expected to deliver engaging and innovative lessons, inspire students, and play a key role in the development of the school’s science department. This is a large oversubscribed co-educational mainstream secondary school with close transport links to Liverpool, Chester and Ellesmere Port.
Your new role
1. Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality science lessons for secondary school students.
2. Assess and record student progress and provide feedback to enhance student performance and progress.
3. Collaborate with colleagues to develop new strategies for teaching and learning.
4. Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher meetings, and school training events.
What you'll need to succeed
5. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
6. A degree in science, either biology, physics or chemistry.
7. Experience teaching Science at a secondary school level.
8. Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills.
9. Amitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.
