Finance and Admin Manager – Wiltshire FA
Wiltshire FA is seeking a highly motivated Finance and Admin Manager to join its dynamic team and play a key role in delivering effective financial management and operational support. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the growth and governance of grassroots football across Wiltshire.
As part of the Senior Management Team, the successful candidate will help drive Wiltshire FA's purpose:
1. To improve the experience of all involved in Wiltshire Football
2. To extend the organisation's reach and deliver positive change through football in the county
Wiltshire FA is the not-for-profit governing body for football in Wiltshire, committed to promoting diversity, growing participation, and ensuring the sport is enjoyed by all. Based at a purpose-built football hub in Devizes, the organisation has plans to expand to Swindon and the south of the county.
Key Responsibilities
3. Lead regular and ad hoc financial operations, ensuring best practice
4. Produce budgets, management accounts, and financial reports
5. Manage payroll, cash flow, and accounting systems (Xero)
6. Ensure compliance with HMRC, auditors, and other regulatory bodies
7. Support safeguarding and contribute to strategic delivery aligned with The FA Grassroots Football Strategy
8. Provide administrative support, particularly in safeguarding and volunteer engagement
9. Contribute to Wiltshire FA's transition to a multi-site operation
Role Details
10. Location: Green Lane Playing Fields, Devizes, SN10 5EP (hybrid working available)
11. Hours: 0.6 FTE (21 hrs), 0.8 FTE (28 hrs), or full-time (35 hrs) depending on candidate experience
12. Salary: £31,000 – £34,000 (pro rata for part-time)
13. Contract: Permanent

Person Specification
Essential:
15. GCSE Maths (Grade C or above) and A-Level education
16. Strong financial acumen and attention to detail
17. Experience with financial reporting, cash flow management, and Xero
18. Excellent communication, IT, and time management skills
Desirable:
19. Finance/accounting qualifications
20. Xero Level 2 certification
21. Experience in business administration and compliance
Additional Requirements
22. Enhanced DBS check (required upon appointment)
23. Clean, full driving licence (highly desirable)
