Based in Northumberland we specialize in delivering delicious, freshly prepared pizzas that impress every guest across Northumberland and the North of England.
Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Freelance Pizza Chef for a full-time, on-site role based in Northumberland. The role involves preparing crafting delicious Neapolitan pizzas, and operating a wood-fired oven from our unique mobile catering unit. Duties include ensuring high hygiene standards, maintaining food safety practices, and creating exceptional dining experiences at events like weddings, festivals, and corporate gatherings.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be running the oven and leading service, supported by a small team, delivering high-quality pizzas in a fast-paced event environment.
• Freelance / Part-time / Event only
• From May 2026 onwards
• 1–2 events per week
• 4–6 hours per shift (more for larger events)
• Strong hourly rate (based on experience) £20-30
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Food Preparation and Cooking, with experience in crafting pizza & handling three/four pizza's simultaneously
* Knowledge of Hygiene practices and maintaining food safety standards
* Familiarity with Food & Beverage service in event settings and working with wood-fired ovens
* Understanding of pizza-making techniques, especially working with sauces and toppings
* Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Previous experience in catering or event culinary services is a plus
