Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a number of secondary schools across the Wirral that cater to pupils with a range of complex SEN and behavioural needs. We are seeking resilient, proactive, and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our team and support students who require additional guidance and structure to thrive in their educational journey. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and behavioural challenges. Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities and behaviour management strategies. Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students. Support pupils in developing social, emotional, and communication skills. Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals to implement EHCPs and behaviour plans. Monitor and report on student progress and wellbeing. Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience working with children or young people with SEN or behavioural needs (in school, care, or youth work settings). A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting challenging behaviour. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to different classroom environments. A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners. A valid DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one). Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Team Teach, MAPA, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
