Are you an experienced and confident Primary Teacher looking for a regular Year 2 teaching role in a welcoming Bristol school?
We are working with a warm, supportive primary school in the BS11 area that is seeking a Year 2 Teacher to take their class every Friday for the remainder of the academic year. The school has an inclusive atmosphere, values its staff highly and is looking for someone who can provide consistency, strong behaviour management and high quality teaching in Key Stage 1.
The Role
• Take full responsibility for a Year 2 class each Friday
• Deliver engaging, well structured lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and planning
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different abilities within the class
• Maintain a positive, calm and focused learning environment
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policy
• Work closely with the class teacher and support staff to ensure continuity for pupils
• Contribute to the wider life and ethos of this friendly, community focused school
What We Are Looking For
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong, recent experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 2
• Proven behaviour management skills and the ability to hit the ground running
• Good knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective classroom practice
• Confident classroom management and clear, positive communication skills
• A reliable, proactive teacher who is committed to high standards and pupil outcomes
