Position Summary
As a School Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students' emotional well-being and academic success. Your work will involve direct services and collaboration with educators, families, and community partners. We are seeking someone who is proactive, empathetic, and skilled at building trust and connections with children and families.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide individual and group counseling for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
* Conduct assessments and develop tailored plans to support student needs.
* Collaborate with school staff, families, and outside agencies to coordinate services and interventions.
* Respond to crisis situations and assist in conflict resolution.
* Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning for students with special needs.
* Monitor attendance and support students facing barriers to consistent school engagement.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines.
Qualifications
* Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
* Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement.
* Experience in a school setting is preferred.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and culturally responsive approaches.
Compensation & Benefits
* Competitive weekly pay: $40 - $52 per hour, based on experience and credentials.
