The Role:
* £Negotiable salary
* Annual bonus of 8% on top of salary
* Full time
* Monday - Friday
* Permanent position
Duties:
* Maintain accurate and legible records of all samples submitted into the laboratory
* Administration of Certificate of Analysis and other product related documentation
* Data trending
* Equipment Daily Calibrations
* Ordering of laboratory chemicals and consumables
* Daily/ weekly/ monthly laboratory checks on equipment as required
* Chemical/waste and sample disposal
* General housekeeping in the laboratory including glassware rotation
* Preparation of solutions, buffers and eluents
* Support the Analytical Chemists
* Be flexible to demands of the role.
EHS Responsibilities:
* Ensures that the Engineering Department conforms with company quality and EHS policies, procedures and management system requirements and complies with GxP and EHS regulatory requirements.
* Contributes to achievement of EHS performance targets by:
* Participating in EHS Meetings.
* Carrying out periodic EHS inspections.
* Periodically reviewing risk assessments.
* Reporting near misses/ raising good suggestions.
* Managing contractors ensuring they are following EHS guidelines
Criteria:
* Educated to 'A' level or equivalent in a Science related subject or have suitable experience.
* Have an interest in laboratory work.
* Attention to detail.
* Understanding of EH&S.
* Ability to work unaided and use initiative.
* Computer literate.
