At Steer Commercial, part of the award-winning Steer Automotive Group, we specialise in the repair and maintenance of commercial vehicles, including HGVs, vans, and fleet vehicles. As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for a reliable, safety-focused Driver to join our dynamic team.
As a Driver, you'll play a vital role in the day-to-day running of our site, ensuring vehicles are collected and delivered safely, professionally, and on time. You’ll work with a variety of commercial vehicles and represent the Steer Commercial brand when interacting with customers and business partners. The role is key to supporting the efficient operation of the repair centre and delivering excellent service to our customers.
What You’ll Be Doing
14. Collecting and delivering customer vehicles safely, professionally, and on time.
15. Carrying out basic vehicle condition and safety checks before and after vehicle movements.
16. Providing excellent customer service and representing Steer Commercial in a professional manner.
17. Assisting with vehicle movements on site to support workshop efficiency and operational requirements.
18. Maintaining accurate records of vehicle collections, deliveries, and movements.
19. Supporting the team with the movement of a range of commercial vehicles, including vans and HGVs.
What We’re Looking For
20. A full UK driving licence with a good driving record.
21. A valid Driver CPC qualification and/or HGV driving experience would be desirable but is not essential.
22. Age 21 or over due to insurance requirements.
23. Confidence driving a range of vehicles; experience with commercial vehicles would be advantageous.
24. A valid Driver CPC qualification and/or HGV driving experience would be desirable but is not essential.
25. Previous driving, logistics, or customer service experience is desirable.
26. A professional and courteous manner with strong communication skills.
