Assembly Technician ILocation: BAE Systems, Hillend
Duration: 10-Month Contract
Hours: Full-Time, Onsite
Rate: £16.54 per hour PAYE or £22.06 via umbrella (inside IR35)
We are seeking an
Assembly Technician I to join a leading defence manufacturing team in Hillend. This role involves the manufacture, repair, and modification of complex Radar, Avionics, and Underwater systems within a highly regulated production environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble products in line with technical drawings and work instructions.
- Repair, modify, and rework electronic and mechanical assemblies.
- Maintain accurate production and compliance records using business systems.
- Work to recognised quality standards including IPC, ANSI-J, AS9100, and ISO9001.
- Support continuous improvement activities and lean manufacturing principles.
- Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
About You- Experience in an assembly discipline such as wiring, fitting, PCB assembly, microelectronics, or similar.
- Ability to assemble, disassemble, repair, and modify electronic or mechanical products.
