The Role
* Preparing equipment and chemicals for practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
* Assisting teaching staff with the delivery of demonstrations and required practicals
* Maintaining, calibrating, and repairing laboratory equipment
* Managing stock levels, including the safe storage and disposal of chemicals in line with COSHH
* Ensuring all laboratories and prep rooms comply with health & safety regulations (CLEAPSS)
* Supporting students during practical sessions where required
* Assisting with the organisation of STEM clubs and school science events
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* A background in Science (A-Level or Degree level) or previous experience as a Science Technician
* A strong understanding of health & safety protocols within a laboratory setting
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
* A proactive and "hands-on" approach to problem-solving
* The ability to work collaboratively as part of a technical and teaching team
* Good ICT skills for stock management and record-keeping
