Salary Range: £1,413 - £5,652 per annum, plus additional incident call out payments
Hours per week: Minimum of 31 on-call hours per week

The Role:
An on-call firefighter is employed by the fire and rescue service to respond to emergencies and engage with the community. They balance everyday life and jobs until called upon, then act as professional firefighters.
They are trained and experienced individuals who respond to various emergencies, including fires, floods, road accidents, chemical spills, and animal rescues. They receive thorough training and personal development opportunities.
On-call firefighters come from diverse backgrounds and are committed to protecting their communities. The role is demanding but rewarding, fostering teamwork and community engagement.
Previous experience is not necessary as training is provided. Essential requirements include physical fitness and the ability to reach the fire station quickly after being alerted. Applicants must live or work within 4 minutes of the fire station; otherwise, applications will be rejected.
