About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Developer / Lead Software Developer to join an innovative and dynamic business based in Plymouth. This is a permanent position designed for a hands‑on technical expert who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about building enterprise‑level software solutions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining a comprehensive software system that integrates multiple applications across various departments. The role offers a hybrid working model, allowing you to work from home two days per week, providing flexibility while maintaining a strong presence within the team. The working schedule is structured as a 4.5‑day week for full‑time hours, with a pay rate aligned to a five‑day workweek, and working hours from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday, and 7:30 am to 12:30 pm on Fridays.
Qualifications
* Microsoft technologies: .NET, C#, ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET, and Blazor.
* Database technologies: SQL Server, PL/SQL, T‑SQL, and SQL Server Management Studio.
* Experience with ETL processes and integration platforms.
* Front‑end development frameworks: JavaScript, jQuery, React, and Blazor.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and architectural patterns.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong communication skills.
* Proactive attitude, ambition to learn, and passion for staying current with technological trends.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the end‑to‑end development lifecycle of enterprise software solutions. Key responsibilities include designing system architecture, developing scalable applications, and ensuring seamless integration across various platforms. You will take technical ownership of projects, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members, and ensuring best practices in coding, testing, and deployment. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and delivering high‑quality solutions on time. You will also be involved in maintaining and enhancing existing systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements.
