Job Role: Payroll Administrator Reports to: Payroll Team Leader, Chief Financial Officer Base: Sutton Office, SM1 1JB Hours: 24 hours per week Tuesday – Thursday shift pattern can include 8:00am – 17:00pm/ 8:30am – 17:30pm Salary: £22,000 per annum increased to £22,700 after probation. MedGen "Medical General" is a healthcare recruitment agency specialised in placing nurses of all grades and specialisms throughout the UK, based in the London borough of Sutton, Greater London SM1. We work with private as well as public sector hospitals, prisons, and private clients to manage their highly urgent staffing requirements. Our primary purpose is to provide exceptional care delivered with compassion and kindness. Job Overview: Working within the Healthcare Recruitment industry, the payroll administrator plays a vital role in maintaining a database of workers. As part of our team, you will manage all payroll activities, confirming hours and pay rates, recording financial details in our payroll database, and ensuring a smooth and efficient Pay as You Earn (PAYE) process You will use your experience in payroll to ensure accurate and timely payments, accurate recording of vital information, and assist with our audit process. You should be familiar with standard payroll software and processes as well as possess excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Your Role(s): Current but not limited to the below. * Managing payable hours for Ireland payroll workers. * Managing spreadsheet based timekeeping systems and manually collecting and reviewing timesheets. * Maintaining accuracy of numbers of hours employees have worked against timesheets. * Providing information and answering employee questions about payroll-related matters. * Resolving issues employees have with timesheets, payslips, and other payroll matters. * Changing employee bank records when necessary to process payments accurately. * Investigating expenses and calculating reimbursements in line with company set budgets. * Generating client invoicing on a weekly basis. * Assist with ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as needed. * Support payroll department across the other group payrolls as and when required Objectives: * Ensure the accuracy of monthly payments to workers and invoices to clients. * Provide exceptional service to our clients by maintaining an efficient payroll process and communicating changes to pay rates or dates promptly. * Review and update timesheets and documents required to assist the payroll process on a monthly basis. * Assist the Credit Controller and Finance controller with the payroll process for Medgen Healthcare Ireland. What is expected of you? * Proven work experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role * Proficiency in Excell, Microsoft Office and payroll software programs * Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written * Good time management and organizational skills * Excellent attention to detail. * Able to work autonomously, and as part of a team. * Team player, putting the interests of MedGen first. * Disciplined in working to deadlines.
