Role Description
As an S-BMS Sales Engineer, you are the vital link between VEXO’s technical team and the wider market. This is a high-level sales role for a technical expert who truly understands BMS and HVAC controls. You will be expected to build instant trust with M&E contractors, consultants, and building owners by demonstrating real-world expertise and a deep understanding of the UK building services landscape.
Key Responsibilities
* Grow the S-BMS Market: Turn technical interest into tangible sales by creating solid, data-led business cases that prove the value of our systems to customers.
* Manage Relationships: Build strong, long-term trust with consulting engineers, contractors, and building owners. You should be seen as a knowledgeable peer and advisor, not just another salesperson.
* Create Ready-to-Use Designs: Translate complex client requirements into accurate technical drawings and proposals. This ensures that what we sell can be installed on-site without any hiccups.
* Find New Business: Utilise your existing contacts within the UK industry to identify and secure high-value contracts.
* Provide Engineering Expertise: Use your practical engineering experience to solve technical problems before a contract is signed. Your goal is to ensure every proposal is realistic and maximises the efficiency of the building’s heating systems.
* Keep Us Competitive: Act as the link between the market and our technical team. Report back on emerging trends and competitor activity to ensure our technology stays ahead of the curve.
Qualifications
* Technical Proficiency: Proven experience in Sales Engineering and Technical Support for BMS and HVAC-related systems.
* Communication: Exceptional skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences, from site managers to C-suite executives.
* Sector Experience: A background in sales and customer service within the UK built environment.
* Relationship Management: Natural ability to build and maintain rapport with clients and internal team members.
* Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with a goal-oriented, proactive approach.
* Education: A degree in Engineering or a related field is advantageous.
* Sustainability: Familiarity with sustainable, low-carbon, and energy-efficient technologies is a significant plus.
