Salary: £31,500.00 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 8am until 4.30pm
Location: Central Milton Keynes

Key Objectives
* Ensure the Trust’s green estate is well managed, safe, clean, and maintained to a high standard.
* Support team members to deliver operational and landscape works efficiently and to required standards.
* Supervise contractors and Direct Works teams as needed.
* Promote the values and culture of the organisation.
Duties
* Conduct regular inspections of the Trust’s green estate, including fixtures and fittings; record findings and initiate actions where defects are identified.
* Inspect contract work in progress to ensure compliance with contract conditions and specifications.
* Monitor contractor and Direct Works team performance, including health and safety, providing advice and instructions where required.
* Maintain records of contractors on site and ensure necessary documentation is supplied.
* Address day to day issues raised by contractors and Direct Works teams.
* Assist in preparing contracts, including applying standard and additional specifications.
* Identify required hard and soft landscape works, including opportunities to enhance the green estate.
* When needed, measure, specify, and prepare costings and plans for landscape works.
* Issue plants and materials to contractors and carry out checks to ensure correct usage and accountability.
* Conduct formal tree surveys at required intervals and maintain accurate records.
* Support Rangers and Enforcement Officers, sharing information and assisting with on site situations.
* Liaise with and monitor utility companies and third parties working on Trust land.
* Respond to public enquiries and complaints, explaining Trust policies to ensure a positive organisational image.
* Monitor designated land areas and address issues such as boundary encroachment, garden waste, litter and other misuse, in coordination with Enforcement Officers.
* Participate in an out of hours rota to respond to emergency calls.
* Undertake any other reasonable duties.
Essential Criteria
* Full driving licence.
* Qualification in land management (e.g., forestry, arboriculture, horticulture, landscape maintenance, hard landscaping).
* Experience in parks management and at least some aspects of forestry, arboriculture, landscape maintenance or hard landscaping.
* Strong communication skills with team members, colleagues, the public, and external parties.
* Well organised, able to work under pressure, and capable of using own initiative.
* Willingness to undertake further training to enhance skills and support organisational development.
* Proficient in Microsoft 365.
