This role requires someone with strong emotional awareness, patience, and confidence supporting children with complex needs, particularly those affected by significant trauma. Their personalised and trauma‑informed approach ensures that students who have had difficult experiences in mainstream education receive the stability, consistency, and compassionate support needed to grow and re‑engage with learning. In this role, you will be working closely with a young boy who has SEN and SEMH needs, as well as a sensitive trauma history. He has a lovely nature but needs someone experienced, steady, and emotionally grounded to help him feel safe and supported day‑to‑day. Why This Role? You will deliver calm, purposeful sessions tailored to his needs, wellbeing, and trauma‑informed strategies. You will also be responsible for transporting him safely to and from school each day, offering reassurance and consistency during transitions. A key part of the role is creating a safe emotional space, managing safeguarding concerns confidently, and using patience and empathy to support him through challenging moments. Your role will help him develop confidence, stability, independence, and healthier ways to manage his emotions.
