Job Overview
Location: Nelson House, Whitecross Road, Hereford, HR4 0DG
Salary: £28,962 – £33,418 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent
Working arrangement: Office-based (on‑site Monday – Friday is essential for this role)
Hours: 37.5 per week
Main Duties
Join our small, dedicated Digital & IT team to support colleagues across the organisation and ensure smooth delivery of primary care services.
* Provide first‑line support for hardware, software and clinical systems
* Manage assets, procurement and asset register
* Administer Office 365, NHS portals, SharePoint and Active Directory
* Oversee network, telephony (IP‑PBX, Wifi, HSCN) and CCTV/Building Management Systems
* Maintain websites, TeamNet and internal CRM updates
* Lead business continuity planning, security audits and risk incident reporting
* Participate in IT projects and technical onboarding/off‑boarding of staff
* Coordinate with 3rd‑party support organisations and contractors
Primary Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain Digital & IT work schedules
* Provide first‑line support for staff on site, remote and other clinical locations
* Maintain company asset register and IT equipment stock levels
* Support Central Services, Ops, HR and Clinical Services with IT functions
* Manage IT requirements during staff induction
* Plan and coordinate office systems and communications
* Support Digital programmes information management systems
* Update websites and communication platforms via internal CRM
* Cover for team members during leave and critical work periods
* Develop business continuity processes and procedures
* Administer Office 365, NHS portal and associated applications
* Manage onboarding and off‑boarding of staff for corporate and clinical systems
* Maintain clinical and corporate access to systems (remote and F2F)
* Administer Active Directory and associated services
* Specify and procure equipment ensuring value for money
* Administer mobile phone estate and liaise with supplier for billing
* Manage IP‑telephony platform for corporate and clinical services
* Administer network infrastructure for Wifi and HSCN connectivity with 3rd‑party support
* Configure clinical rooms and associated access for corporate and clinical systems
* Update and report on organizational D&I&T risk incidents
* Conduct scheduled security audits and monitoring tasks
* Advise, support and implement areas of work within project workstreams
* Lead systems and infrastructure management for access control, CCTV and building management platforms
* Coordinate with contractors for maintenance visits and repairs
* Maintain accurate contractor records and report concerns to General Manager
About You
Flexible, proactive, and ready to thrive in a fast‑paced healthcare environment. Experience in IT support, system administration and network management is essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, diplomacy and the ability to work across all seniority levels are required.
