Salary: £26,106 rising to £28,653 per annum + Excellent Benefits including Government Pension

Hours per week: This role is 20 hours per week. However we welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need.
Allowances: This role attracts Weekend Working payment.
About the role:
Starting salary for 20 hours per week is £14,111 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £15,488 per annum. (Full time equivalent is £26,106 to £28,653 per annum).
No annual leave will be approved due to the essential training required for the role - dates when no leave will be approved to be advised when appointment is confirmed.
Your training will take place at Police Headquarters, Middlemoor, Exeter. So you must be willing and able to travel to Exeter for the duration of the course, regardless of your base station.

The role includes:
* being the first point of contact for reported crimes and incidents of a policing nature coming to the front offices and via 101 and other non-urgent means,
* providing an initial response to a wide range of enquiries from the public and other agencies, which may include offering advice, information and guidance on legislation, policing responsibilities, and police complaints and, where appropriate and necessary, ‘signposting’ to partner agencies,
* receiving and recording information appropriately and accurately,
* dealing supportively and reassuringly with witnesses, victims, and the general public escalating to other police resources where appropriate.
The Police Enquiry Office will be open from Monday to Saturday.
