Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of food safety and compliance? At Mars, we are looking for a passionate Senior Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Associate – Contaminants & Packaging to join our dynamic team!
Your Role
As a key member of our Scientific & Regulatory Affairs team, you will:
* Conduct a variety of regulatory activities related to raw materials, finished products, and packaging.
* Ensure compliance with food and product-related laws and regulations, focusing on food contact materials and food chemicals legislation.
* Proactively identify potential regulatory challenges and implement solutions to mitigate risks.
* Collaborate on innovation and external projects to address regulatory issues impacting our products.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Professional Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (nutrition, food science, biology, chemistry, pharmacology, or related).
* Preferred: Master’s degree in a technical area or food law.
Knowledge & Experience:
* Extensive experience in scientific and/or regulatory compliance, particularly with food products or related categories.
* Proficiency in food contact material and chemicals law for Europe and the UK.
* Experience managing large-scale regulatory compliance projects and collaborating across functions.
* Strong background in working with trade associations and government agencies.
Your Key Responsibilities
In your role, you will:
* Monitor and provide guidance on scientific and regulatory activities related to food contact materials.
* Ensure that packaging materials meet regulatory requirements for timely and cost-efficient marketing.
* Develop and execute strategies to influence scientific and regulatory policies.
* Represent Mars Wrigley in various associations, aligning agendas with business objectives.
* Build and manage networks to support business strategy and enhance our reputation.
* Lead complex, strategically important projects with local, regional, and global impact.
