We are seeking an Electronics Engineering Manager to lead electronics hardware development within our R&D team, reporting to the Technical Director. This role combines leadership with technical oversight, ensuring delivery of world-class audio products. You will drive team growth, cross‑functional collaboration, and process improvement while maintaining high technical standards.
Education & Work Experience
* First‑class degree or Master’s in Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related STEM discipline
* At least 5 years in a senior or principal electronics role with proven team management experience (hiring, mentoring, performance management)
* Experience implementing structured development frameworks (e.g., phase‑gate models) is highly desirable
* Demonstrable track record of delivering complex, cross‑disciplinary products from concept to production
* Experience steering cross‑functional project teams and presenting to senior stakeholders (TD/Exec)
Essential Technical & Leadership Skills
Technical Expertise
* System‑level architecture, including hardware/software partitioning
* Digital audio signals (including clock domain considerations)
* PCB design, tool‑chain and design standards (Altium preferred)
* Digital and mixed‑signal electronics design
* Analogue circuit design, including small‑signal stages and Class AB power amplifiers
* Noise management and signal integrity in analogue domains
* Power supply design (linear & SMPS)
* Design for EMC & safety compliance (CE/FCC)
Leadership & Management
* Leadership and team coaching
* Clear verbal and written communication
* Stakeholder management and conflict resolution
* Experience building automated HIL or audio test systems
* Expertise in design‑for‑manufacture, cost engineering activities and vendor management
* Intellectual property (IP) generation experience
* Experience with listening tests and subjective evaluation of analogue audio performance
Main Responsibilities
Leadership & Culture
* Mentor engineers and support professional development
* Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training

Project & Resource Management
* Maintain project schedules and provide regular updates to the Technical Director and Project Management
* Balance workloads across electronics, firmware, and test teams; highlight resourcing issues
Technical Oversight
* Oversee electronics architecture, schematic/PCB reviews, and design verification
* Engage in hands‑on design work to support critical project phases
* Own and manage PCB design
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards
Cross‑Functional Coordination
* Act as the primary liaison between Software and Test Managers
* Align sprint goals, test coverage, and release readiness
* Support broader R&D efforts in planning and risk management
Process & Continuous Improvement
* Define and refine best‑practice processes (requirements capture, design reviews, DFMEA, change control)
* Drive root‑cause analysis of field issues; lead lessons‑learned sessions and implement corrective actions
* Support strategic supplier relationships and participate in key component/PCB vendor reviews
* Promote the team’s achievements internally and help translate complex technology into compelling stories for Marketing and Sales assets
* Create white papers to communicate new IP
