THE ROLE
Buying is the department that combines creative inspiration and commercial planning to deliver the best ranges for our customers. Product is at the core of our work, from developing the best prints for dresses to the must-have coat of the season or the ‘It’ bag. Always with a 'customer first' approach, we collaborate with suppliers in the UK and worldwide to deliver fashionable products at great prices and quickly. Buying is fast-paced and exciting, with each day bringing new challenges.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Planning
* Understanding the Business Strategy and its impact on your Department
* Applying knowledge of market trends and competitors to guide department direction
* Using customer insights, market share data, and identifying opportunities
* Supporting marketing and e-commerce activities, including Windows and Photo Shoots
* Assisting in department strategic planning
Buying
* Supporting product development from design brief to launch, liaising with relevant departments
* Negotiating costs to meet margin targets
* Interpreting product trends and applying them to your area
* Managing data and system inputs for assortment planning
* Understanding sourcing options and monitoring critical paths to meet delivery targets
* Attending fit sessions and providing styling feedback in the buyer's absence
* Managing supplier relationships and KPIs, including sampling requirements
Trading
* Analyzing reports and taking action on trade performance
* Managing critical paths and adapting to market changes
* Sharing information on products, suppliers, and sales performance
* Conducting competitor analysis
Team
* Supporting colleagues' development through training and support
* Collaborating with Merchandising, Design, and Technical teams
* Being a positive role model for the team and peers
