Position
An opportunity has arisen within the Community Forensic Mental Health Service in Ayrshire for a dynamic occupational therapist at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
What You Will Do
We are looking for someone who is interested in working as part of a multi-disciplinary service to develop the services for people who are referred into the low secure service and supporting their pathway forward. This role requires the successful candidate to use evidenced based assessment and treatment skills. This person will be required to lead on initiates that are person-centred and support the development of structure and routine while always considering needs, skills and any risk. The role requires collaboration with the patient and across the staff group with excellent communication and documentation skills.
As an occupational therapist you will be provided with regular line and clinical supervision and support. Line management supervision and caseload allocation will be undertaken in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team and through supervision.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job
Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC Registration are essential requirements.
Experience of working as an Occupational Therapist within mental health services is required. Experience of working within a forensic mental health setting would be beneficial.
