Are you a practical problem solver with a passion for production engineering? We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic client at a leading manufacturing company based in Honiton .
About the Role
As a key part of their engineering department, you'll play a vital role in maintaining, improving, and developing their production processes, machinery, and equipment. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude and experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintenance and repair of mechanical systems, tools, and production equipment
* Supporting design and development of new machinery and components
* Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues on the production line
* Working closely with the production team to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
* Ensuring all engineering work complies with health & safety regulations
About You
* Qualified in Mechanical Engineering (Apprenticeship, HNC, or equivalent)
* Proven experience in a mechanical engineering role within manufacturing or production
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
* Good knowledge of mechanical systems and production machinery
* Team player with a proactive and flexible attitude
