Role Description
Allianz Specialty have a fantastic opportunity for an Agile Delivery Manager to join our family of talented people in the Transformation Change Team.
The Agile Delivery Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the long‑lived team 'train' (or interlinked project objectives) which is set up across and aligned to the relevant business area.
You will have direct line management of the change roles and project management of other key project resources such as Allianz technology.
In this role you will plan and manage a delivery train to achieve a defined set of business objectives which are aligned to the business strategy within agreed parameters of cost, time and quality. This may involve multiple complex projects across functions and could involve transformational or strategic change.

Key Accountabilities
* Manage the delivery train activities (end‑to‑end delivery of multiple concurrent change initiatives and projects) on a day‑to‑day basis on behalf of the Programme Sponsor through the Change Management Framework.
* Support the Head of Change to meet the change portfolio responsibilities.
* Lead team members of the long‑lived team (Train) including objectives, performance and development.
* Define and be accountable for the approach and milestone dates and maintain the plan.
* Identify, secure and engage internal and external resources to ensure programme/project delivery.
* Be responsible for the relationships between the sponsor and relevant change management functions, including third‑party providers.
* Create a sense of urgency and vision around the programme/project to drive pace for delivery.
* Manage programme/project communication and engagement across all relevant stakeholders.
* Ensure programme/project/Train benefits are identified, aligned to strategic objectives at the beginning and measured throughout and after the programme/project.
* Develop, manage and ensure accurate progress analysis on a Strategic Programme/Project of change, consistent with the Change Management Framework/Value delivery framework.
* Ensure change is implemented with minimal adverse impact on business as usual or the continuous change element of the long‑lived team.
* Define and own the Programme/Project Budget, seeking ways to reduce cost and increase or bring forward benefits.
* Set challenging but achievable targets for programme/project/change staff, take responsibility for task and line management and ensure constructive feedback is shared.
* Take leadership responsibility for managing, coaching and developing team members to meet performance objectives and keep them motivated.
* Pro‑actively manage issues, risks and dependencies, escalating promptly as required.
* Identify and manage additional operational risk introduced through change implementation.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory and risk management frameworks, including TCF.
* Ensure programmes and projects are closed properly, benefit managers are clear of their accountabilities and Post‑Implementation Reviews are undertaken.
* Take responsibility for process improvement and the development and implementation of project management best practice within the wider Change and Portfolio Community.
Experience
To be successful in this role you should have an understanding of General Insurance end‑to‑end process and products, and the ability to work alongside cross‑functional teams.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential to lead and deliver the project requirements. You will thrive in multi‑stakeholder projects and comfortably adapt your approach and language for colleagues across disciplines and seniority.
You will already be a competent and effective change professional with a proven track record of managing large‑scale projects. Experience of a range of Project/Programme frameworks, including Agile, would be ideal.
Experience in managing Business Intelligence or Management Information projects is required. Experience or awareness of Azure Cloud Technologies and familiarity with Microsoft BI tools is desirable.
Experience of leadership and people management, with the willingness to motivate and inspire others to achieve their full potential, is essential.
Qualifications
* Degree standard or equivalent business experience.
* Project Management Certificate (Prince2, APM, PMI). At least MSP or another programme management qualification is preferred.
