International Sourcing Buyer

We're looking for an experienced International Sourcing Buyer to join our Supply Chain team, taking ownership of factored goods sourcing across international (Far & Near Shore) and domestic markets.
This is a commercially focused role where you will drive quality, service, cost control and supply continuity ensuring the business secures best value while maintaining technical compliance and strong working capital discipline.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will also work closely with the Group Supply Chain Director and Commercial teams, playing a visible role in shaping supplier strategy and sourcing performance.
The Role
As International Sourcing Buyer, you will:
Manage and coordinate sourcing of factored goods across global supply markets
Research, analyse and forecast buying trends, commodity movements and supply risks
Identify new suppliers, markets and manufacturing processes (with a strong sustainability focus)
Lead supplier negotiations covering price, delivery schedules, contract terms and exclusivity agreements
Drive cost savings initiatives and continuous improvement
Monitor and analyse PPV, forward pricing and cost-of-goods trends
Own and deliver budgets within your designated spend areas
Ensure technical compliance and adherence to relevant legislation
Oversee inbound visibility and stock control across Asia-based supply chains
Support tendering and contract renewal processes
Work cross-functionally to align sourcing activity with operational and commercial requirements
You will apply Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) principles to improve supplier performance while maintaining professional, consistent partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase goods in line with cost, quality and delivery targets
Protect continuity of supply and mitigate risk
Support inventory planning and demand forecasting
Resolve supplier-related issues including pricing, quality and invoice discrepancies
Contribute to a culture of innovation and total cost of ownership thinking
Support new business implementation and product introduction initiatives
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
Strong procurement experience, ideally within a trading or factored goods environment
Proven commercial acumen and negotiation capability
Experience working with international supply chains (Far/Near Shore)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions
Ability to influence stakeholders across senior leadership and cross-functional teams
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong IT literacy (Microsoft Office and stock management systems)
Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
Desirable Experience
Budget ownership and financial forecasting
Inventory planning and MPS/MRP exposure
Project management experience
International freight processing knowledge
