We are seeking an enthusiastic Specialist Practitioner District Nurse to join our dedicated Tweeddale District Nursing Team.
About the Role
As part of our locality-based model, you will deliver high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care to patients within their own homes and community settings. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, carers, and families to support complex care needs and promote independence wherever possible.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the continued development of district nursing services in Tweeddale, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care.
What We’re Looking For
* Specialist Practitioner Qualification in District Nursing (SPQ), or working towards completion. NMC registered nurse.
* Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making skills
* Experience of caseload management and leadership within a community setting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work flexibly within a locality‑based model across rural areas
* Commitment to weekend working on a rotational basis
* Full UK driving licence, as travel across the locality is essential
* Prescribing qualification desirable and evidence of CPD
