Emotional Wellbeing & Mental Health Practitioner
An exciting opportunity to join a creative and reflective service has arisen. The team member will be based at the University of Birmingham in Edgbaston Birmingham
Working hours: Monday10am to 5.30pm
Permanent with funding until 31 July 2026
7 hours per week working Monday (with potential scope for additional hours across the week depending on need)
Salary: £26,100-£29,855 Per annum/ £5,220.00 - £5,971.00 pro rata
INFORMATION ABOUT THE ROLE
In order to be considered for this post you will have to demonstrate that you already have:
Experience
1. Evidence of working in settings with people (preferable aged 18-25) who have emotional, behavioural and/or mental health challenges.
2. Evidence of providing 1:1 session and groups.
3. Evidence of working in a person-centred approach.
4. Evidence of undertaking assessments and application outcome tools
Skills
5. Computer literate and confident with Microsoft office tools
6. Is able to navigate a data management system (after training is provided)
7. Excellent verbal and written Communication skills, including telephone skills
8. Team work and collaboration with a variety of partners
9. Able to develop good therapeutic relationships with all users of the service- Practicing in a non-judgement and anti-discriminatory manner
