We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant to join one of our partnered secondary schools in Wythenshawe. This role involves working one-to-one or in small groups with students requiring extra support.
Key Points:
* Salary: £400 - £500 per week, depending on experience and qualifications
* Location: Working with KS3 and KS4 students in the Manchester area
* Start Date: September
Responsibilities:
* Provide support to pupils during classroom activities
* Collaborate with school staff to help students reach targeted learning levels
* Maintain effective behavior management within the group
Requirements:
* Up-to-date CV with a 10-year career history
* Right to work in the UK
* Provide overseas criminal clearance checks if you've lived abroad in the last 6 years
* Possess a full child workforce DBS certificate on the update service (can be obtained through Teaching Personnel)
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with children who have SEN or SEMH requirements
* Previous experience in a school setting (preferred but not essential)
* Strong communication skills with the ability to remain patient and calm in challenging situations
* Natural ability to build rapport with pupils
