We require a bright and enthusiastic individual to join our firm initially as a paralegal and begin a training contract in February 2026.

In this role you will be assisting and working with the Head of the Housing Disrepair Department and handling a case load of your own. As such, experience in handling housing disrepair claims is necessary.
You will also gain experience in clinical negligence by assisting the Head of the Department with complex and high value claims.
The candidate must have a qualifying law degree or equivalent and completed the legal practice course or will have completed it by the end of the training contract. In the event the legal practice course has not been undertaken the SQE route will be undertaken.
Requirements:
* Ideally, you will be a graduate of the LPC
* Have good academics
* At least 6 months experience in working in a Housing Disrepair department.
* Litigation experience is preferable but not essential.
* Passionate about pursuing a legal career
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* A willingness to learn
* Good researching skills
* Excellent time management and organisation skills
Responsibilities:
* Taking instructions from new clients
* Drafting pre-action protocol letters of claim
* Drafting correspondence as and when required
* Chasing clients, experts, third party representatives to ensure timely progression of files
* Reviewing and analysing disclosure of documents from the Defendant
* Reviewing and advising on expert surveyor's report
* Undertaking liability and quantum reviews
* Researching various topics in relation to housing disrepair claims
* Helping to maintain client files in good order in accordance with quality assurance requirements
* Liaising with clients and providing excellent client care
* Providing support to the Managing Director
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £24,500 to £26,500 (dependent on experience)
