Role Summary
Rokstone Underwriting is a leading specialist MGA serving the needs of international (re)insurance brokers in specialty lines business. Our brokers have direct access to decision makers who provide fast decisions and flexible solutions. As an Underwriting Assistant, you must be able to work in a team environment and support the Underwriting team.
Role Accountabilities
* Preparation of policy documentation, quotes, certificates, endorsements, and debit notes.
* Assist in quoting and underwriting of business.
* General back-up duties, including entry on internal and market computer systems.
* Generating accounting entries and liaising with the accounts department.
* Assist with reporting, monitoring income and producing bordereaux’s.
* Oversight of PPL system.
* Maintenance of our excel database
* Assist with the provision of data to reinsurers.
* Liaise with brokers on fac RI requirements.
* Any additional duties as assigned.
Role Responsibilities
* At least 5 A-C Grade GCSE’s including English, Maths and ICT.
* Minimum 2 years of insurance experience.
Skills & Abilities
* You will be required to have a good work ethic and the ability to meet deadlines.
* A good A-level standard of education is preferred, with a keen and can-do attitude. Attention to detail is a requisite of the role.
* This is a good long-term opportunity to eventually move into underwriting. Support will be provided for training.
* Be able to effectively communicate within a team and with external clients/brokers.
