Role Overview
Ensure the delivery of electrical aspects in a professional, efficient and compliant manner, managing the Projects team and programme, and maintaining compliance with regulations and client expectations.
What You’ll Do
* Lead and develop the EMCOR UK Projects team through effective communication, training and development, ensuring full competence for key tasks.
* Support and manage the electrical installation with the Project Manager, ensuring the SOR and associated drawings are followed.
* Develop RAMS for the work to be carried out.
* Work with the Project Manager to capture all extra works and assist in the production of additional SORs for variations as requested.
* Support safe working practices, ensuring site teams complete their Eskills.
* Develop partnerships with suppliers to maximise mutual benefit and rationalise the supplier database.
* Identify training shortfalls, work with the administration teams to close gaps.
* Maintain day‑to‑day contact with customer representatives and attend meetings as directed by the PM.
* Become a NICEIC Electrical qualifying supervisor and work with the Company NICEIC qualifying manager to ensure documents are completed and issued correctly.
Who You’ll Be
* Qualified to City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ & C&G 2382 – 10 18th Edition, minimum requirements.
* C&G 2391‑10 Inspection & Testing.
* C&G 2391‑20 Design & Verification preferred; equivalent training will be provided.
* Experience with commercial electrical installations and LV distribution systems.
* Experience with DC/UPS systems advantageous.
* Experience with safe working practices and permit to work systems.
* Demonstrable skills in dealing with internal and external customers and suppliers on complex issues.
* Effective communication and flexible approach to work patterns.
* First Aid, IPAF and PASMA training provided if required, but advantageous if already certified.
* Management of an on‑site team essential.
* Ability to carry out daily briefings and actively ensure SORs & drawings are followed.
* UK travel may be required.
* Must hold a valid UK Driving Licence.
* Occasional out of hours work may be required.
* Health, Safety and Wellbeing – required to work at height & under CDM regulations.
* Required to wear corporate PPE.
