In Bridgend County Borough we have a robust social work model, and we are looking for someone to actively promote our 'Strengths-Based Model of Practice-Working to Achieve Outcomes' in the Community Learning Disability team.
Working at the forefront of best practice, the post requires an advanced, highly skilled practitioner who has a demonstrable track record of building effective and productive relationships with people use our services, carers and partner agencies.
The post holder will also make an important contribution to service planning and service improvement including the development of policies and practice guidance for social workers where required.
As part of this work the post holder will provide expert advice on excellent social work practice and promote a culture of learning and development helping in the team and wider in Adult Social Care.
The role will require the post holder to conduct appropriate research to ensure that evidence-enriched interventions underpin social work practice and promote innovative, efficient and effective social work practice including quality assurance, performance management and service improvement activities.
The role will also ensure the delivery of strengths-based, outcome focused assessments, enabling individuals to maximise their independence through an integrated, multi-disciplinary and enabling approach.
The post holder will support the team, and wider service, to deliver outstanding social work practice, by leading and promoting the delivery of the highest level of practice skills and developments, through the ability to inspire and mentor the team and individual social workers.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
An Enhanced Children and Adults Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
A valid driving licence is requirement for this post.
