We currently have an exciting opportunity to join VSA's Compliance Team as a GDPR & Compliance Administrator and we are looking for an enthusiastic dedicated and professional Administrator to support our Head of Compliance based at our Castle Street offices.
In this role you will ensure VSA complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and other relevant data protection legislation. The GDPR Administrator will support the implementation and maintenance of data protection policies, manage data subject requests, and promote a culture of data privacy across the organisation.
Salary: £26,604.00 p.a.
Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday-Friday) - Some hybrid working is available and can be discussed at interview
Location: Aberdeen - post holder will be based at VSA HQ, 38 Castle Street
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
* Assist Develop, review, and implement policies on data protection, privacy, confidentiality, records management, and contract compliance.
* Monitor compliance with GDPR and internal data protection policies.
* Support the Data Protection Officer in conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
* Manage and respond to Subject Access Requests (SARs) and other data subject rights requests.
* Maintain the Record of Processing Activities (RoPA).
* Assist with staff training and awareness on data protection and information security.
* Support incident response and breach reporting processes.
* Liaise with third-party processors to ensure data protection compliance.
* Keep up to date with changes in data protection legislation and best practices.
* Contract Administrator - Maintain a central repository of all contract-related documents and correspondence, Maintain records in accordance with document retention policies, Monitor contract deadlines, support CFO to streamline contractual processes.
* Maintain Compliance Register and review upcoming renewals.
Experience:
Essential:
* Strong administrative and organisational skills
* Knowledge of UK GDPR and data protection principles.
Desirable:
* Previous experience in a data protection or compliance role.
