Mechanical Engineer – Aerospace Sector | Tewkesbury (Onsite)
A leading engineering firm in the aerospace sector is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their friendly and collaborative team at a cutting-edge facility in Tewkesbury.
This is a hands-on role involving the assembly, testing, and diagnostic evaluation of precision-engineered products. What you’ll be doing:
* Assembling and testing mechanical components to high standards
* Performing diagnostic tests and rework procedures
* Conducting flow matching, wire locking, labelling, and finishing tasks
* Working from approved documentation and maintaining accurate records
* Ensuring quality through self-inspection and final inspection readiness
What you’ll need:
* Experience in a production environment (preferably aerospace or similar)
* Skilled in using hand tools, gauges, and measuring equipment
* Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* Familiarity with servo valve operations (desirable)
* Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain documentation
* Understanding of 5S principles (training provided if needed)
* Eligibility to pass an eye test
