Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts and Administrative Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing comprehensive accounts and administrative support. This position requires strong organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and proficiency in various software applications.
Duties
* Assistance with bookkeeping tasks, Sage payments, posting of invoices, reconciliation etc.
* Prepare and maintain documents using Microsoft Word, Excel.
* Maintain filing systems and ensure all records are up to date and easily accessible.
* Perform general administrative duties as assigned to support the overall functioning of the office.
* Assistance with entering Funeral data into our bespoke system and support with Funeral paperwork.
* Provide support to other team members, as required.
* Telephone answering and in-person reception duties, as required.
Skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and Microsoft/Outlook Email.
* Excellent communication skills in English.
* Previous office experience with a solid background in accounts and administrative roles.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Proficiency in Sage and Xero.
* Reception experience.
* Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
* Proficiency in computerised systems for data entry
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From £12.25 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 21 per week
