Quality Associate

Location: Blindley Heath, Surrey. Reliable commute or plan to relocate before starting work due to location

Salary: £26,000 per annum

Vacancy Type: Full Time

Hours of Work: 8:30-17:30

Our client is an established company who design, manufacture and supply high quality elegant and aesthetic glass balustrades and Juliets.

The Role

They currently have an exciting opportunity within their Quality Department. They are looking for a dedicated and highly motivated individual who will be responsible for ensuring that their product meets all quality standards before it goes to customer.

Key Responsibilities

Testing:

* Conduct or provide technical support for tests to prove the suitability of designs produced.
* Assist with the Product testing. Responsible for preparing the test reports as evidence of conformity.

Monitoring and Inspection:

* Conducting regular quality inspections of products, processes, and services to ensure they meet established standards.

Deviation Investigation:

* Investigating and documenting deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformances related to product quality.

Root Cause Analysis:

* Performing root cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of defects and non-conformances.

Corrective Actions:

* Implementing corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.

Supplier Quality:

* Evaluating supplier quality to ensure products meet specifications.
* Inspecting and releasing incoming materials to ensure they meet quality specifications prior to use.

Quality Systems Management:

* Managing and maintaining quality systems, including document control, change control, and record keeping.

Process Improvement:

* Collaborating with other teams to develop and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.

Compliance:

* Ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.

Documentation:

* Developing and maintaining quality-related documentation, such as standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

Collaboration:

* Working with various teams, including Manufacturing, Technical, and Customer Care, to address quality issues.

Health and safety:

* Must monitor all Health and Safety requirement. Comply with Health and Safety requirement, company policy, and procedure that apply to the job

Skills and Qualifications

* Skilled using CAD software – AutoCAD
* Understanding of construction and technical design principles, including materials, manufacturing processes, Building regulations and industry standards
* Strong Communication Skills
* Attention to detail
* Time management skills
* Problem solving skills
* Worked in a quality or materials inspection role.
* The ability to analyse the quality and performance of a product.
* The ability to work well with others.
* The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Flexibility and openness to change.
