Overview
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Liverpool to assist with the appointment of a SEND Team Manager, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at client\'s discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration. Rate of Pay: £29.15- £38.65 per hour
Responsibilities
* Taking responsibility for all strategic development of the SEND Team (responsible for EHC needs assessment and plans).
* Directly line managing staff, including Senior Casework Officers (x5), Statutory Data and Performance Officer (x1), and SEND Placement and Referral Monitoring Officer (x1).
* Taking lead responsibility for all recruitment and HR issues relating to the SEND Team.
* Standardising and quality assuring EHC plans, providing timely and effective feedback to improve service delivery.
* Being responsible for the relevant SEND budgets, including non-maintained and independent schools budget, SEND alternative provision budget, other local authorities\' budget (recoupment), and SEND Team staffing budget.
* Degree or equivalent level qualification.
* Extensive training in the SEND reforms and the SEND legal framework.
* Recent experience of working within an educational or Children’s Services environment.
* Working experience and in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the SEND legal framework.
