Your Role as Room Leader
As a Room Leader, you will:
* Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences tailored to children's age and development.
* Support the holistic development of children, focusing on their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional needs.
* Assist staff in maintaining high-quality updates on the EyLog system and children's learning journals.
* Lead by example, promoting respect and credibility in your role.
* Implement an effective key person approach to foster secure attachments for children.
* Maintain accurate records related to children and staff on the EyMan system.
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor.
* Understand and uphold the statutory framework for the EYFS.
Note: Duties and responsibilities may evolve, and additional tasks relevant to this role may be assigned.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Level 3 Childcare Qualification: Full and relevant qualification is essential.
* Experience: Over 1 year in Early Years is essential; over 6 months in a senior position is desirable.
* Ofsted Knowledge: Familiarity with Ofsted expectations for achieving a Good or Outstanding rating is desirable.
* EYFS Knowledge: Understanding of the statutory framework and regulatory requirements is essential.
* Language Skills: Fluent in written and spoken English is essential.
